Hi and welcome to my own journey out of “good girl” conditioning. I worked in helping fields, in migrant and domestic violence shelters for years before obtaining my masters in counseling. I always had an interest in sexuality and in getting off script, but in my personal life, it was finally owning my own queerness at age 36 that allowed me to start asking “what do you really want for yourself?” After moving through my own self gatekeeping, and a history of keeping myself stuck in patterns of unrequitedness or settling for much less than I wanted in relationships, I practice showing up in relationships and being able to receive the love I want. I would love to guide you on these journeys as well!
I am a dedicated feminist with a social justice lens and a commitment to nuance while holding respect for the ways that our identities impact the ways we move through the world. I come from a mixed-ethnicity background (white and Arab) and understand ways that culture can both support and constrain us.
I think knowing how to relate well is a fundamental human skill that most of us are not taught. The skills of finding and maintaining authentic connection help us find fulfillment in our relationships and navigate our changing world.
